Well, that’s one day of no sugar done.

So how’d it go?

Well, I discovered:

  • My 11am coffee doesn’t taste nearly so good without 2 sugars in it.
  • Baked banana porridge (with no sugar in it) tastes really good.
  • They put sugar in most crisps! I nearly failed on day one because of a bag of crisps, luckily I checked the ingredients and there it was: sugar *holy cow Batman*

Apart from nearly being caught out by a bag of crisps, day one was surprisingly easy.

Because I knew if I gave in to my craving for a chocolate fix last night, I’d have to face you this morning and tell you how weak willed I was.

And I’d rather skip chocolate and all that other sugar loaded sweet stuff than do that.

I’m not kidding you, having an Accountability Partner (AP) is one of the most powerful motivators I know.

Have you got yourself one yet?

I heard something at a meeting I went to at the weekend that’s really stuck with me.

A guy was talking about how lucky he was and he said:

“It’s a wonderful life if you’re willing to change.”

If you’re as smart as I think you are, you’ll re-read that last sentence a few times and let its message sink in.

Quite a few people wrote in yesterday asking what I was going to do after 5 days without any of that ‘pure, white and deadly’ stuff called sugar?

And I don’t know.

I might keep going, I might stop, or I might settle somewhere in between.

The important point is that I’m willing to make a change. And let’s be honest, as changes go, 5 days without sugar isn’t a huge one.

My mum’s fond of saying:

“If things don’t change they’ll stop as they are.”

What changes can you make that will benefit your life?

And they don’t have to be huge.

That’s a common mistake.

You see, I think the reasons why so many people fail with their New Years plans is because the changes they want to make are too big and they don’t have a clear plan on how to get there.

But you must realise that making positive changes doesn’t have to be daunting or involve massive upheaval.

Practicing Qigong, the way I teach it, is a simple way to change to a more active and healthy lifestyle and I couldn’t have made it easier for you.

You can take a two week test drive of my 22 week online Qigong home study course for just $4.95. That’ll give you more than enough time to decide for yourself if Qigong can benefit you.

Enjoy your practice!
