5 years ago, I sat in this chair and made my first post at Qigong15.

Today’s post will be my 876th.

And soon to be my last.

Let me explain…

My business has always been to share the best tools I can find to help you live a longer, healthier and happier life. In fact that was the tag line of the first book I wrote in 2008.

Shaolin Chi Kung – 18 exercises to help you live a longer, healthier and happier life.

It’s still the primary focus of everything I do today.

And up until 3 years ago that tool was Qigong.

But then I noticed, despite what I believed to be true, Qigong on its own wasn’t enough to deliver the goods and I went on a quest to find out why.

After a few years of dead-ends, snake oil salesmen, and large sums of cash I finally found tools that could give you a longer, healthier and happier life. In all it’s dimensions.

Here’s what I discovered:

Qigong (+ a few other tools) + Exercise + Nutrition = Best You Ever

Testing this formula on myself I ended up feeling stronger, having more energy and looking better at 42 than I did when I was 22.

And gradually I’ve been making the transition from The Qigong Guy to The ZEN Beast.

Why ZEN Beast?

Because the ZEN part is made up of the first letters from the 3 main tools I believe are essential if you want to live a longer, healthier and happier life.

  • E = Exercise
  • N = Nutrition

And the Z?

Well Z stands for Zest and is a combination of:

  • Qigong
  • Meditation
  • Mindfulness
  • Rest/Sleep

All good so far.

But the trouble is this email list and the blog it’s connected to were originally set up to promote Qigong only.

And a lot of people still come here for Qigong only.

So when they find me also talking about Exercise, Nutrition and Mindset (the “+” part of ZEN+) they quickly unsubscribe. Because they came here expecting one thing and got something else.

That’s not good.

Hence today’s post.

I recently recruited an Accountability Partner to help me stop dragging my feet and commit to putting more of my effort and resources into the ZEN+ Project. And I went up to see him this weekend.

Amongst other things, I agreed on a date to stop making new posts here and on the Qigong15 website.

This will happen on 20th October.

After which there will be no new Qigong15 or Qigong Daily posts.

I will still continue to write daily about ZEN+, just not here.

I’ve got a few nuts and bolts to tighten up in the mean time, so if you want to continue with me on this ZEN+ adventure you’ll be able to do so via a new set up.

But I wanted to give you a heads up today to let you know what’s happening.

I feel like Columbus getting ready to set sail for new horizons.

I’m excited and scared all at the same time.

Truth is, I’ve been dragging my heels on this transition too long, for fear of losing all of my clients and readers. But I have to follow my heart and I have to know I’m giving you my best – and that means ZEN+
