I spent an hour on the phone yesterday talking with Edie.
Edie’s the awesome PERFECT Qigong USA organiser.
And we were talking about August 2014.
Because that’s when the first PERFECT Qigong Teacher Training Certificate (PQTTC) and 2 PERFECT Qigong workshops will be coming to the USA.
Today I’d like to focus on the PQTTC.
The dates for this training will be:
Monday 11th August till Thursday 14th or Friday 15th August 2014.
I haven’t decided yet whether this first ever PQTTC will be a 4 day or a 5 day event.
And that’s where I need your help Grasshopper.
You see, I have an idea for what I think a comprehensive and quality certificate training should cover, but I’ve been teaching this material for over a decade. And the problem with that is I’ve forgotten what it’s like to be a beginner.
I’ve forgotten the kind of things new Qigong teachers are concerned about.
What kind of things they’d like to cover in great detail.
So as much as I’m content with what I plan to cover during the PQTTC, I’d love to hear what you think a quality Qigong Teacher Training course should cover.
We’ll be covering:
- The 7 steps of PERFECT with a fine tooth comb
- Basic TCM and Qigong healing principles
- How to structure a class
- Effective marketing so you have students to teach
- Modifications to patterns, danger zones and safety first
And much, much more.
Each potential PQ teacher will be expected to pass a simulated 1 hr class test and possibly a written exam in order to earn their PQTT Certificate.
Hey I want this certificate to stand for something
Certificates won’t just be handed out because you turned up. You’re going to have to earn them.
I also plan to put together the ultimate Qigong Teacher Training manual covering everything in detail I think a great Qigong teacher in the making should know. Including clear instructions for every single Qigong exercise I’ve ever taught. And vital lessons from all the mistakes I’ve made over the last 10 years.
This PQTT manual will only be available to PQ teachers.
But it’s still very early days.
There’s a lot of planning to do.
As part of making this Qigong teacher training unlike anything else being offered on the planet Edie and I have arranged to hold the training at Fox Haven Learning Center in Maryland.
Their website is here:
I suggest you take a look around.
We’ve chosen this site as the location for the PQTTC because it will allow us to come together as a closed knit group of highly focused and motivated Qigong super heroes.
We’ll share our meals together and most of our free time together.
We’ll even be staying in shared houses on site (though you will have your own room).
I can’t tell you how important this closeness is.
You see most of the really important lessons I learned from my Qigong teacher took place during meals and informal chats. And I want to make sure everyone who attends the PQTTC has the opportunity to get everything they need from their time learning how to teach Qigong from me.
And that means time to just hang out and shoot the breeze.
To go deep.
I want you to feel confident, positive and ready to start earning an income sharing PERFECT Qigong with the people where you live.
There will only be 10 places on this PERFECT Qigong Teacher Training Certificate.
And it won’t be cheap.
I’m hoping each potential new PERFECT Qigong teacher will come and play full out during the course and I want to feel like my brain has been sucked dry by the time it ends on Thursday or Friday.
Edie and I have still got a few fine points to work out, but full details will be available very soon.
Though as there are only 10 places available, please contact Edie at:
If you know you’re already interested.
And here’s a big hearty thumbs up to the 8 of you who’ve already done so.
Remember, the early bird catches the worm Grasshopper!
I can’t tell you how excited I am to share all of my skills and experience with you. How much I look forward to doing everything I can to get you ready to share PERFECT Qigong in your community and get paid well for doing so.
If you can join us, I hope you will.
Bye for now
